Is it too late to breed my hondurans this year?

flynryan Aug 04, 2003 09:49 PM

I have a pair of tangerine hondurans that I bought a few months ago for breeding. I have them in seperate cages now and and a little nervous to put them together. They are both 3 years old and over 36" long. Any ideas? I am new to this and trying to learn as much as possible. Also is there any way other than probing to tell the sex of a honduran? Any help would be great. Thanks

My advice is to not attempt any breeding yet. Feel the snakes out, get to know their habits a little, and let them settle in to their new surroundings. Then cool them for the Winter and try breeding in the Spring. In the meantime you can get info on breeding so you are more ready when it is time.

probing is pretty much the only way to sex hondos.
