Wow that is one heck of a pretty snake!

I have some yearling Lafourche Parish, LA Speckled Kings and I hope they turn out like that one.

How old? How big (lgth & wght)? Reason I'm asking is cuz I have a little late hatch '05, and I'd like to know what size they should be to be considered eligible for mating.

This female was 585 mm svl when she laid. I actually emailed Dr. Stan Trauth because in his book he mentioned the smallest reproductive female he had found in Arkansas was 705 mm svl. Figuring these states border each other and the climate is relatively the same I thought I would mention it to him and he was not at all surprised. He thought they were able to reproduce sooner, he just hadnt located any live data to suggest such. I would recommend asking some of the breeders in this forum that question as they may be able to provide you with breeding data from their own colonies. Best of luck.

I do not weigh my animals(I know I should)so I cant speculate on that.

I like the screen name too! I'm a BIG Blues fan, and Howlin' Wolf has one of the best Blues voices around IMHO!
