I just wanted to post a few pics of my 8 month old Albino Green Burmese in his new setup. We're in the process of moving right now so that cage is baren but we will be attending the White Plains show on the 10th to get some more visually apealing cage furniture. I just wanted to see what you guys think this guy was tiny when i got him back in march, hes grown quite a bit and eats alot (of course) but im concerned hes not growing quite as much in his fist year as he should be. Right now the ambiant temp of the cage hovers between 83-90 durring the day and drops to between 75 and 80 at night. The basking temp is noticibly warmer than the ambiant temp but i dont have an accurate reading right now. As for heating sources he has a 20 gal. heating pad on the right side of the cage (the bottom to the tank is glass) and he has a 150 watt halogen bulb for the basking light and a smaller red bulb to heat up the shelf, the long bulb is a florecent just for lighting. Thats my boyfriend next to the cage for scale haha. Im a bit proud of this tank since, between work and school, it has taken me a few months to build. The cage opens from the top with 3 locks keeping it closed, 2 slide latches to keep the snake in and 1 pad lock to keep people out. There is always room in my book for constructive criticism so please give me your opinion on any way I can improve my snakes life.
