A couple pics of my new BP and a question

DMG Aug 04, 2003 10:41 PM

Hi all, I received my baby normal ball python thursday from the Sutherlands (ballpython.com0, and he is great so far! I have had him out a couple of times for a few minutes, once to clean out some poo, the other today, just to get him used to handling. I am going to try to feed him for the first time Wednesday, he doesn't seem very shy when I hold him, just a little head shy which I know is normal. He pretty much hides all day, and is very active at night, everytime I look at him he is exploring a different area of his aquarium, is this a good sign that he is not stressed...being active and not acting too scared of me. His temps are 85-90 warm side, 78-82 cool side, with 60% humidity.Anyway, here a a couple of pics I just took, let me know what you all think.

Thanks for looking!

Dave

My hot spot is at 90-95 degree and mine bask there all day frequently. The rest of the cage is at 80-85.

Anyway...nice snake! Mine do the same thing at night. He's very alert and flick his toung all the time...that's why I call him Dragon-breath--he's just like a dragon in movies.
