O/T I feel like I've lost a friend

lizard_lover Sep 04, 2006 01:13 AM

I just learned that Steve Irwin died this morning after being stung in the chest by a stingray while he was filming an underwater documentary.

I'm in absolute shock. That man was the closest thing to immortality as I've ever known. He was an excellent ambassador for the reptilian world. This is such a great loss that I can't even come up with the words to express my thoughts.

So long, Steve.

I know - it's strangely disturbing since the guy seemed absolutely invincible. Goodonya, Steve! We'll miss you!

Very very sad, I know exactly what you mean.

Steve Irwin has made a lot of positive changes in the world over the years and I hope that his family and friends continue to do so.

May his legend live on.

Oh I mean that that from the bottom of my heart. I think everyone LOVED the man, what a LIVELY, ENERGETIC, FULL OF LIFE, and all around GOOD guy.

Amazing Critter lover to say the least. Such a lose, and he will be missed so very much. He entertained me and taught me, as well as Zillions of others who loved and lived herps.

He certainly will be sadly missed by all. God Bless his Family, I'm sure his little girl will carry on his love for critters as well as his wife.

No one has compared to his Charismatic Personality, or sheer ZEST for all life, while teaching us.

Keep them Gators Jumpin up there, Steve-O
