I regret to inform anyone who hasn't heard yet but Steve Irwin from Australia, made popular by his show "The Crocodile Hunter" has passed away. He was reportedly stung by a stingray while filming a documentary. Goodbye to the international reptile conservationist and a beloved icon for all of us reptile enthusiasts. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends.

I just now heard it on the radio. I suppose one way to look at it is that he died doing what he loved; not that this will make the loss an easier on his young family.
