Hi, my bearded dragon is sitting with his eyes closed. He is not sleeping because he has his head lifted and he's walking about the tank. He opened them once or twice yesterday but they are mainly closed. Is this a sign of infection?

I just thought I'd post a reply in case anyone else had this problem.
We took him to the vet and it turned out he had a piece of shed skin in the inner part of his eye. The vet took care of it and he is now home and happier than ever running around his tank. He needs to get eye drops for a couple of days but other than there should be no side effects.
Thankfully it was nothing too serious but it just strengthens the argument for taking your sick reptile to the vet at the earliest opportuity.
