sweating egg?

Rouen Sep 04, 2006 09:59 AM

the little guy that hatched yesterday his egg was sweating, I know I've seen snapping turtle eggs sweat but I can't remember if that means they're pipping..
I have another boxie egg that's sweating so does that mean I can expect #2 or am I just getting impatient again?

Box turtle eggs will 'sweat' before pipping: what I've observed here is the droplets appear on the surface of the egg within about 24hrs. of pipping.

Keep in mind that this doesn't happen with every egg, though.

Congratulations!
