5 minutes out of the egg and ready to take my finger off!

jeune18 Sep 04, 2006 07:06 PM

well at least he waited until 5 minutes after hatching, if mine saw my shadow go over them while watching them hatch or when griffin had his shell stuck to his head while hatching and i helped him, they would start to open their mouths at me!

very cute, are you 100% sure they are boys or just guessing for now. you should be able to tell really soon!

I'm just guessing their gender. How soon did yours eat after hatching?

Mine started killing crickets at about three days and eating them at about five days

it can take a few days because while they were in the egg they were being fed. eve had a lizard hold out for two weeks, however, be sure to offer them water. the little boogers can become dehydrated quite quickly

Thanks! They are all hopping about now. I almost posted a picture of the one that was stillborn but decided to keep it positive. And it may have been my fault since I moved the egg after it was pipped. Or maybe I should have opened it earlier? It was perfectly formed just like the others. The fifth egg turned brown and collapsed a couple weeks ago and I opened it to find hard yolk and a reddish looking dead embryo. 3 out of 5.

Here's ma with stepdad!
