Marsh or Texas Brown?

saleenadam Sep 04, 2006 03:05 PM

I know that Marsh Brown's have the horizontal line behind the eye and that Texas Brown's have the blotches under the eye on the upper lip. This one was an adult that has both markings..maybe and intergrade?

Marsh and Texas Brownsnakes intergrade widely along the coast of Texas and probably Louisiana (I haven't ever looked there). In Houston a large number of the snakes I used to see where intergrades.
