Final suboc egg count

MikeMurphy Sep 04, 2006 05:20 PM

Well, I just got 6 more eggs out of the nest box and into the incubator. And she still had another under her tail and a second one the had just come out. That makes the total 16. It doesn't look like there are any left inside of her. All 16 look good. The 6 I just put in the incubator were all stuck together. Almost just too tall to fit in the plastic container but they did. All are white and BIG. Man, 16 eggs. That's a lot for a suboc isn't it? I'll post pictures once I get all 16 in the incubator. I have to run now to meet friends to watch FSU/UM.

BTW, I use a Hovabator that I've had for years. It works great and has never given me trouble (knock on wood). Has anyone had problems with the wafer sticking? I've heard that can be an issue. You can buy replacement ones as a precaution but I don't know how hard they are to change out. Now that I finally have two clutches (16 and 2 LOL) of suboc eggs I'd hate for anything to go wrong with the incubator. It might be time to step up to one of the digital more expensive varieties.

Mike,

That is absolutely HUGE for a suboc! In fact, I've never seen an official report for any more eggs than that. Your name might be going down in the history pages of the first suboc book. Wow!

Looks like you got almost as many eggs as the game had points scored.....

Man,I remember when these teams had among the best offenses in the country.

Good luck with the eggs.
