Quick Question About A Minor Injury......

Today I got about a 5 foot normal corn from a friend who could no longer care for it. He kept it in a cage with a screen top. It has rubbed it's nose raw and I was wondering if eventually the nose will look normal again? I guess what I'm asking is that will it grow a new scale over the raw place? I already know how to treat the wound. I've never kept any of my snakes under screen so I've never had this problem. Thanks.
