My new Box Turtle won't eat his greens!

mizskellington Sep 04, 2006 10:26 PM

I got a box turtle about two weeks ago and all he'll eat is fruit, some turtle pellots, and feeder worms. I've supplied vegetable matter like Romaine lettuce and other greens, but he won't eat them! What should I do? Becuase I know that vegetables are supposed to make up most of his diet.

thanks-

Here's a link to a very good article about how to feed your box turtle that will hopefully clear up any misconceptions about what it should be eating. Greens are actually a rather small part of a box turtle's diet overall.

The internet is a wonderful source of information.
There is a tremendous amount of inaccurate information on the internet as well, though, so it's prudent to consult more than one source.
The website I directed you to is an excellent place for you to get started.
