help ball has fluid between skin

please help i rescued a ball that looked like he didnt eat for 2 years, he was so skinny his backbone was showing, he is about 8 years old, he is eating good ,but now it looks like he has fluid under his skin,can anybody tell me what that would be? he also started getting red blotches down his side.

He's probably got a skin infection and will need an antibiotic ointment and maybe a systemic antibiotic. Do you have a herp vet? Was he burned? Scale rot from being wet/dirty? Keep him on clean paper with a bowl that he can't soak in. Give humidity by spraying instead.

took him to the vet. the vet said he was burned bad over 75% of his body gave antibiotics and cream.now he is going to shed again. the vet is hoping all his skin does not come off at one time.
