Honduran eggs @ 90 Days

toppy Sep 05, 2006 11:30 AM

I have a clutch of 4 eggs in the incubator all are good color and show veins - 2 are starting to soften. These are 90 days from the date they were laid. All incubated at 78 to 81 deg. How long should I let them go. DO I slit them or wait and see if they are good?? anyone ever go over 100 days??

Let me know
thanks
chris

You're probably still fine.
I've had eggs go 90 days at a steady 80 degreees. With your lower temps, more than 90 days wouldn't surprise me.
And I've often had eggs soften (or even begin to collapse) in the last week or two only to hatch perfectly healthy snakes.
