Moss and Plants

eriku Aug 04, 2003 11:55 PM

I have a fire salamader enclosure and I want to grow live moss in it.

What species of living moss are good for a humid, wet, artificialy lit enclosure? And where can I get said spieces. Right now I have 2 plants in it forget the names. I picked them up at east bay vivarium.

I was hoping for spores so I don't have to tear up the cage, would be nice to sprinkle them in, and have them grow naturally.

Thanks in advance!

Most mosses are hard to grow in the terrium. I use java moss, which is usually sold for fish tanks, but does just as well out of the water.
