Small BTS

Savannahblue Sep 05, 2006 03:11 PM

My BTS is a lil more than a year old. he seems to be on the smaller side. is this just a thing.... like some people are short, others are tall. or should I add a lil something to his care.

Hes kept in a 3.5x2x1.5 home made setup. 105 bask. Cypress Mulch. Hides. Water. feed every other day: squashes, greens(usually collard), with chicken or monitor diet. How often should i dust his food?

how big is your blue tongue? Also is he a Northern BT?

My Northern Blue tongue skink is a little over a year now, born last May or June I beleive (2005) and is about 18" long nose to tail tip, last time I measured him (which was about a month ago now, he has shed at least once since then, if not twice).

Im glad you put the 2nd pic in there... it shows how you are feeding. I would reccommend to chop it all up a bit smaller. With my BTS, he will nose through for only the meatier pieces. So I adapted and bought a mini food chopper. My poor Boris doesnt realize how much "good" food he is eating.
