spotted turtle tail comparison

Hi all,

This pic of my spotty pair pretty clearly shows the physical differences between the genders. This pair has been in captivity for a few years and has acclimated very nicely. They have produced babies every year since their collection. Behaviorly, the female is very outgoing and trusting. She eagerly hand feeds and approaches whenever I'm near the pond. The male eventually swim over and beg for food, but will not take it from my hands. He is still pretty wary. The adults and their offspring feed daily on a rotation of Rep-Cal dusted crickets, hissers, pinkies and Rep-Cal turtle food. Thanks for looking. Peace.

See female on left has a lot of orange on chin and the male (right)has very little.

True, the male also has glowing red eyes, while the female has softer, brownish eyes.
