Baby rack, which ones do you all like?

EmberBall Sep 05, 2006 07:00 PM

I need an additional baby rack for my Ball python hatchlings. Which one do most people use? I have a nice melamine rack right now, but want something other than melamine for my new one. I also worry about baby racks with too much ventilation.
Anyone selling nice baby racks going to be at the Anahiem show?

Dave

I am sold on the new Vision racks!

We are switching out our old Melemine racks that don't fit in our new place for the Vision racks and I can't beleive what a difference they make!! The same rack can be configured to house adults, juvies and hatchlings - humidity hasn't been an issue and the snakes seem "happy" as well. Will definately be using them for next seasons hatchlings!

Kinda freaky when you get as excited over a rack as you do a new ball but what the hell these are cool!

I'm with toshamc.
I just bought a Vision rack and I put it together in less then an hour. I like them a lot and I am getting a few more. Great racks for the price.

I like the fact that vision is making their own tubs. At least they won't go obsolete like rubbermaid and sterilite tubs.

I was surprised at how strong the v 70 tub was and that it was the same price as the cb 70 tub.

Animal Plastics. Great customer service, a good product with attention to all the little details.

Do yourself a favor and have a close look at ARS Caging.
Brian Hahn, out of Indianapolis makes them. He has dealt with the ventilation issue quite well, and even offers tubs with water dish holders. I have two of them, one a 75 tub hatchling rack and one of the 30 tub racks for large tubs, CB 70 size. After having these in operation, I can't imagine ever using anything else. The new tub that Vision is offering is nice and heavy, so is the one that ARS offers. You can find info on ARS in the Breeder/Dealer section here under cages. Good luck! Tom Harbin

I have used several different racks before finding the Herp Enclosure racks and I will never again use anything else. They are far superior to anything else I have come across. They are also visually attractive. Not to mention Rich is a great guy and offers excellent customer service.

I have the 60 tub Vision hatchling rack and it works great. I also really like the tubs Vision makes for them.
