pastel ball pythons

do pastels darken up as they age i want to get one but im not sure if they retain these brilliant colors as they mature. thanks for any input

There are different lines that you can get that have different outcomes... for the most part they all "brown out" as they mature, some sooner than others... I would recommend spending a little more money and buying a lemon pastel... they seem to hold their color the best.

Blondes tend not to brown out as adults.

too. Its all marketing, I have a few lemons and grazianni pastels that were all pics of the litter when I bought or produced them. My adult male lemoon is 3 years old and still looks great as do the reat. Just start with a nice looking animal with little to no orange.
