My goodness, What an incredibly, sad, eye opening week we have had. My biggest problem at the beginning of this week was getting my newly hatched clutch to eat and sell them and then this whole thing with Steve Irwin happened. WHEW Where do we go from here. I am shocked still. No celebrity death has ever effected me as much as his. His work, teachings, image, everything are 100% the reason why I do what I do and who I am today. He has inspired me more than anyone ells ever has. Unfortunately In his passing he has once again taught a lot of us something very important. The unexpected can and dose happen. He will be greatly missed by my family and I as well as the millions of others he has touched through the years. On with the WIR.

THINGS TO CONSIDER
ghost corn won't eat
Question about how often to feed a baby
Poop of a different color
Pinkies - how long can they stay out?
Feeding Problems - Found solution
Pairing suggestions, Input welcomed.
Power feeding?

quote of the week
I am Like a kid waiting for christmas! As a matter of fact, I was never this anxious for christmas LOL Thanks Xblackheart, I needed a laugh. I almost feel your pain but I will more than likely be there both days

PHOTOS OF THE WEEK

THINGS THAT SUCK
Man I don’t know what to say. The passing of Steve Irwin really really sucks. In comparison nothing this week really sucked but I will try
ghost corn won't eat It kind of sucks when they don’t eat
Sacramento show It sucks that you have to work one day of the show

UNANSWERED POSTS

2 corns i picked up at the raleigh show
All are beautiful snakes

FINAL THOUGHTS
For those of you that have been here to see the WIR in the past welcome it back, For those of you that are reading it for the first time this is a compilation of information and photos posted to the forum in the past week that I put together on my free time. If you feel I have missed an important post or want to see something added please feel free to email me. In closing I would like to ask everyone for a moment of silence for the late great Croc Hunter. I am donating 10% of my earnings from my snake sales this year. I really really wish I could offer more but after my little girls $40,000 operation this is really all I can do. I know it doesn’t come near to mending broken hearts but its something. Please let this be a reminder that while we are out herping or doing anything for that matter the most unexpected things can happen at the most inopportune times. Be safe everyone and god bless.

Hey Jason, it is good to have you back more frequently, good to have the WIR, and I am so happy anna's surgery went well.

It really is a horrible thing to lose someone like Steve Irwin. I have never been affected by the loss of a celebrity, but am saddened by the loss of Steve. It is a very cool thing of you to donate some of your snake income. I heard they are making a "Criky" fund. Is that the one you are donating to?

As for the reptile show. Glad to hear you might be going. I am going to try and go after work on saturday, then again on Sunday.

This is a pic of me. If anyone sees me there, say hi.

I will most certantly look for you there. Will you be atending Sunday as well? So far I am only bringing my son. Looking to take others but so far noone has shown any interest in going with. I am not sure where I will be donating the funds but surly to one of the donation links on the zoo website. Maybe I will email them asking where they need it the most and donate to that one I am not sure yet. Rather than make a small 10% donation with each sale I will most likly wait untill all this years snakes are gone wich should be in the next month or 2 "They have already all been reserved for sale, juast waiting for them to eat first" At that time I will make one large lump donation of 10% of all sales. For some odd reason his death has also greatly effected me. I dont know why, I never met him, He lived around the worlod from me but at times worked in my own backyard "so to speak" He will sorly be missed in this household. Let me know if you will atending Sunday as well. At this point I am looking at atending both days all day. My son is realy looking forward to peting the Alligator as am I. This will be our first reptile show and I am sure it will be memerable. Hope to see you there both days

As luck would have it I am not sure I will be able to make it after all. Things are very tight right now and I think the responsable thing to do would be to save my money. Hopfully I can sell a few snakes in the next couple days. then I will for sure be able to go/
