One eye sunken in is not good. Has it gotten any better?

Well, she's been going back and forth...one part of the day, her eye will be open, then the next time I check on her it's only partially open.
Today, she started out with it only partially open, then I just went and looked and it was normal. THEN, I go back in and she has the thing blown up huge scratching it on a limb. It went back down, looked normal for a bit and now she's scratching it again. I don't see any evidence that she's shedding.
Thanks so much for asking...I can't figure out quite what to do since one minute it's fine and the next it's not.
When she had it blown up, I did let some fine mist fall on her just to see if that would help with whatever is going on.

It's closed again...what is up? Just a little while ago it was completely normal...moving around and now just the one is...and the other is closed. Can she hunt with only one eye open? She's moving around some...I'd imagine she's looking for her crix.
I have not seen any feces lately...then again, I haven't scoured the enclosure or anything.
I'm worried...

It sounds like your chameleon has something in its eye. Try getting a spray bottle and gently spray it into the chameleons eye for about 10 minutes. Then, after your done with that, watch and see if his eye puffs up. He will start flushing the water around inside of his eye. If this is not the case here are a few questions I would like you to answer: Do you see any foreign bodies around the chameleons eye? Does the chameleons eye appear sunken in and does the chameleons eye fully open in the morning? Does the tissue around the eye appear inflammated? Also, try spraying your chameleon 20-30 minutes three times a day. If the problem will not stop , contact your vet and schedule a vet visit.

Try to check the urates to see if they are white. orange or dark colored is not good. It could mean dehydration. Has she been eating if so you should find something. maybe she is constipated.
Also be wary of over supplementing your cham it can cause weakness, constipation, lack of appetite, dehydration and can mimic MBD
There is an article I read about that. I will send it to you when I find it.
How often do you supplement and with what.
Sonia, can you send it to me, too? I wonder if that's what the problem with my guys may have been as I really doubt it was UNDER supp.
thanks, lele

It was in chameleonjournals.com under vet topics. I think the topic was calcium and D3 but I can't remember.
I'll go on a poopy hunt tomorrow...it seems even before, I didn't see feces all that often.
She is getting supplemented with vitamins 1x per week and calcium w/D3 2x per week. Rep Cal brand.
It's really weird that one minute she'll look fine, and the next it's partially closed...she does this on and off all day.
Thanks!
Kristen
