Picky eater

megan63087 Sep 06, 2006 10:41 AM

I have tried mealworms, a pinki, and small fish.....but my pacman will only eat crickets. I know it's good to have a variety in his diet so is there anything I could do to try an get him to eat something other than just crickets? Or will he be ok with only crickets? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Try nightcrawler earthworms.

If the frog was raised on crickets then it may refuse other new food items unless you let it get really hungry. People do rear and keep them on crickets but you have to keep the supplementation up when using these as a food item and a large frog can eat a lot of crickets. Depending on the size and age of the frog, not feeding it from several days to several weeks can induce to accept other food items.
