Hi Steve,
I have the old ball python manual in black/white so I don't know which snake you mean, but here's a photo of mine.
I have 4 eggs in the incubator from this little guy and his normal girl since last saturday, so maybe in 8 weeks I know more.
Would you mind telling us how much you had to pay for your jungle?
Cheers,
Bas
Pretty animal, but not the same kind as I have. I will try to get some pics up soon.
Dave or Tracey. Since I have posted this I have recieved over 50 e-mails containing pics of "Jungle Balls" they all do not even come close to the Jungle I have or the one in the Python Manual wich it is identical...not saying they are not pretty animals but they are not even the same "morph". If you could please post here or e-mail me I would appreciate to know the history of the one you have bred and what happened in the end...if there was an end. I have tried to get with the person I bought it from, A well known Breeder, but he has not been entirely himself lately so I am not pushing him for a response....I will explain if you e-mail me as I am not going to respond to that on the forum. Thank you for any help you can offer.

Only a select few own a true Classic Jungle ( most have similiar animals which lack some of the required markings/pattern). Tracy Barker, Dan Sutherland, and myself have been working with this strain for some time. I have produced several hatchlings with very irregular patterns but have not produced a 100% "true" Classic Jungle yet (no one has to my knowledge)! Also keep in mind that most Classic Jungle's have lost their bright yellow color as adults, the bright yellow turns into a Brass or dingy gold color (I have yet to see a pic of an adult Clasic Jungle that retains ALL the bright yellow as an adult). Because of the fact that my strain of Jungle is producing obviously different hatchlings ( as everyone else's line seems to produce nothing more than "slightly different" normals even after line breeding) I have decided to call my line the "Berkley" line to seperate my line from the other lines which appear to not be genetic at all. You can view a few pics of my Berkley strain at www.mccainreptiles.com if you like and any interested parties can email me for more pics. I currently have a small clutch of 4 eggs incubating from a brother to sister breeding (these 2 were produced by my Berkley Jungle male). Let's hope something is produced because everyone seems to like these unusual, bizarre, pythons. Thanks for your interest, Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles.
The Snake Keeper proved thiers not to be genetic. They were selling all the adults males that should have been hets if it were genetic.
I don't get too hung up on the morph thing these days, but this one might strike you as interesting.
Although the pattern isn't quite like yours, it's color and pattern was just recently genetically proven as some type of incomplete dominant trait. It's also got the spot on the head, mustache, and lighter colored top half of the eyes.

With a normal female of mine, which also has a pretty neat pattern.

Here's a pic of him about a year ago...
