Hello Comrades of Herpdom!
My new python I hear should be fed in a separate enclosure- like a lg plastic bin, instead of his usual housing. My question is how long should I wait until after he has eaten to move him back to his set up?

When the food is moved all the way into his belly and he is realigning his jaw it's pretty safe to move him - I usually wait until they are trying to escape the tub. Who better to judge when they are ready to move then them.

Just my opinion, but I don't think it's necessary to move them to a seperate enclosure just for feeding. I don't, and I have no problems. As a matter of fact, I've never heard a good reason to do this. Just imagine the big breeders out there trying to move hundreds of animals back and forth between racks and breeding containers...
If you feed them in their normal enclosure, they will feel more secure in familiar surroundings. You won't have to move them when they are done. They won't think your hand is food when you are removing them at other times, unless it smells like food. There will be less containers to clean. Less chance of any kind of cross-contamination. More efficient. JMHO...
