ig worms....help

can i use panacur medicine that is made for dogs on my ig? its used for deworming dogs but can my ig use it if i carefully weigh him and find a dosage?

Personally, I wouldn't. The problem isn't the drug, but the suspension the drug is in. You know where it says on the side, #mg/100ml or something like that? Most animals use the same drug, but its what the rest of the stuff is made of that causes trouble. For example, if you deworm your dog with certain horse de-wormers, the dog will die: Not from the drug itself, but from the suspension the drug is in (the goo/paste in this case). The suspension or extender is not often broken down into what its made up of, and that is what could kill your ig.

I would at least phone a herp vet and ask, or explain the situation, and see if they will help you out in a way you can afford. Otherwise, you risk poisoning your ig.

What state are you in? Herps need to go to the vet some time and now is a good time. It is only about $55 dollars to get the correct dosage and medicine.
