Some nice shots. I like the next to last one. It really shows what these snakes are able to do.

Something I have wondered about with the outdoor shots. When someone takes their snake outside and puts it on the ground or in a bush just for a picture, what is the likelyhood that the snake will pick up mites or maybe any other parasite? I like the pictures, but I don't think it is worth exposing the snake to bad possibilities such as mites. I'm not shaking my finger at you phiber optikx or trying to give you a hard time about it, I really don't mean it like that. I'm just wondering.
Thanks,
Rob

From what I understand.......
Mites that prey on snakes are not from america and that all snake mites have come from imports. There is still a chance they could get a tick, but that is unlikely since they were outside maybe 5 minutes each. And even in the small likelyhood that they did contract mites I always have a bottle of mite spray handy.

There really isn't a danger of picking up parasites during outdoor shots like that.
Snake or reptile mites need to feed on reptile blood and unless there's an abundance of mite infested reptiles running around your yard for some strange reason there shouldn't be a danger.
Any mites that may have somehow ended up in your yard would simply die off without host reptiles to feed upon.
As for ticks well they're pretty obvious.
It is pretty easy to check your snake for ticks.
