Depends, you can heavily feed a good eater, and it could be bigger than 30" at a year. That sounds normal for a 1 year old, but there is no way to really know. I would just call it a last years. When I get home, I have 3 last years Hondos, and I'll measure to see. I got in a shipment yesterday of 6 hatchlings from Mike Falcon, and those babies are less than a month old They are huge compared to most other hatchlings I've seen. Derek

Thank you. I will assume than its roughly a year old. The only reason I asked was because my husband would like to one day breed him but I imagine a yr or 2 old makes no difference.

The breeder was lots help (think he posts here) but we lost his card, info but again imagine a yr old or 2 doesnt make a difference . He is a great eater thus that makes sense what you say and true some babies are biger than others so 30 inches for a yr would be normal.

Thank you

Rita

If your snake is a male, a little smaller won't hurt, but a female should be at least 400 grams. A well fed 2 year old male should be ok. I have some hondos, but have not bred them yet, hopefully next year. 50 more grams to go. Derek
