A bloody situation

jordanm Sep 07, 2006 09:41 AM

Well almost.. This is an example not of selective breeding but of just getting a nice WC adult. However now I have to deal with a shifty snake. Needless to say I was a bit concerned taking this animal outside. There is usually a 15 second interval I can handle her and then she goes nuts.. on both ends. She did ok outside, but DID NOT want to go back in her cage. She has open mouth tagged me once before and it wasn't pretty, thankfully I avoided it this time.

Thanks for looking,

Jordan

Ah ha you couldn't resist the red bloods could you.You always said you wanted one.So male or female?Well if she gives you that much of a window to handle her I bet she'll get better.Even so keeps you on your toes and lets you remember any blood could still tag you.Well good luck w/ him looks like if you get another wc you can start your own line.

Ethan,

I've actually had reds for a good while now. Just most of mine are not the easiest to take pics of. I'm used to handling this one by now, just wasn't real excited to take her outside if you know what I mean... Lets just say she has all of her defensive on an exact clock, goes from tame to; biting, spraying, and thrashing all at the same time.

She's a female and I have an adult tiger male to breed her to this season. Was kinda small and skinny when I got her but shes put on some good size. I don't think WC's get nearly as big as some of the CBB animals you see that have been fed good all their life. But she's starting to get fairly large considering what I started with.

Has that last red come out yet? Should be about time, best of luck buddy. Talk to you later.

DO you have any pics of the male tiger blood.I can't believe you ended up getting reds after all.Man w/ that girls pattern and the tigers pattern you should have some exotic offsprings. My little one that made it has a crazy pattern.I'll post some pics in a few weeks.Best of luck in the breeding season for her.Later,Ethan

Heres the male, it was from Bushmasters first clutch from their tiger where they bred it to a stripe... not the best idea but you can tell theres something weird going on for sure.

Nice looking 'Red'! I like how bright she gets near the tail. Best of luck with her and the breeding season.
