By the looks of the picture, you have two male Shorthorned Lizards, Phrynosoma hernandezi.
Thank you. That was going to be my next question. Can you tell me how you tell the difference? The only way I know is that when you catch a big fat one and it has 11 babies the next day.. lol.. That happened years ago to me when I brought one home. I ended up turning her and babies lose soon after. Thanks again~!~
In that second picture you posted you can tell the sex by how wide their tails are at the base. Notice that they are very wide on both your lizards. That is because the male's hemipenes are located in the base of the tail (when not in use), so males have a much wider tail. You can also see differences in scalation between the sexes if you turn them over. The males have a set of larger scales behind the vent, while the females do not.
