The pet store from which I bought my first leo (the one that wasted away within 2 days) is the only place around where I can buy crickets. I have been planning on just ordering them online, but I am never home during the day to pick up the package, so I have procrastinated on that. Anyway, this store is really upsetting me and I need to vent.
First of all, while waiting for my crickets, I noticed they were selling albino babies for $45. I asked the owner what kind and he said he had no idea - the invoice didn't say. No offer to look into it, not even an offer to give me the supplier's phone number so I could find out myself. I'm not looking to buy, but I thought that some more customer service would have been nice.
There are about 10 of them in a 10 gallon tank, and they have 1 hide (it isn't humid). They are on wood shavings and burrow underneath their water dish as a hide. The lights in their home were very bright, too, so when I got a look at them, they all were squinting. I'm sure they'll go to nicer homes soon though as the leos seem to go fast there.
But the thing that really upsets me is there is a full-grown bearded dragon in MAYBE a 20 gallon tank. It looks smaller than that, actually. It barely has any room and everytime I go in, she's on her hind legs pressing herself against the glass begging to get out. If I had more room and money, I would be tempted to buy her just because she's been there for at least 3 months now (since i've been going in - she's probably been there since she was a baby), and just looks so miserable.
A lot of the employees, including the owner, seem to have an bad attitude. I can't quite explain it but my boyfriend picked up on it too.
So, I'm done with this pet store. I really want to start ordering my feeders online, but I need a company that would be willing to have the package left at the door if nobody is home - I don't care if it negates some sort of "live delivery guaruntee." Can anybody reccommend a few good websites or does that break some sort of advertising rule on this forum??

0.1.2 Leopard Geckos
(Monet, Kumquat, and Tamale)

. Then when I got my bearded dragon, which Ive since sold, 300 per week wasnt quite enough for all my pets. I would also recomend breeding mealworms, they are REALLY handy to have when you suddenly have a lot of geckos to feed and havent ordered crickets. Plus you can have the from the tiny size to the large size so they are good for maintaining different age groups of geckos.
