Somerset Co. PA Timbers (pictures)

I went up to Pennsylvania Monday to go herpin. We found about 10 adult timbers, 20+ babies, a black ratsnake, and a garter snake. Not a bad day. I thought I'd post a few pics I took of the timbers.

I love those black timbers of the east!! My wildlife center has a number of normal colored timbers on display but someday, we'd love to put a pitch black one on exhibit.

Great find indeed.If we get a sunny day soon,I'm going to a den area I know of to see whats out and about.Lycoming county.Here is a big black phase I found this year.Pictured with a yellow.
