A few Chondro pics.

AnthonyCaponetto Aug 05, 2003 02:37 AM

I'm bored and was updating my chondro pics, so I figured I'd post a few.

Aru type - Female
She was my first chondro...I got her as an muddy looking little yellow baby and have gotten to watch her transform...and just recently found out that she's a girl.

Sorong type - Female
This is an all around great Chondro...great feeder, tame, etc.

Highland type - Male
This is "Scar." He was immediately attacked during a breeding attempt last year, went to the vet and got stitches, came back home, rested for a week and then went right back to breeding duties. You can see where he was attacked. This happened with his last owner, and I recently aquired him along with some females. He is a very good natured Green Tree as well. I took his stitches out about a week after I got him, and he never even hissed.

Scar looks very nice Anthony! I can't really figure which highland type he looks like most, but I bet he'll sire some nice clutches one day...Bo

I don't really think that any of the highland types really look that much different, so it's really all but impossible to put a label on them by looks. I've seen Lerehs, Wamenas, etc. that all range from deep forest green to bright lime green (like Scar). Honestly, they may not even be pure highland type animals, since they were produced at a zoo. The animal in the pic here is a female I have and is actually his clutch mate.

She's a looker Anthony. The faded powder blue diamonds tell me Wamena, but like you said, it's almost impossible to know for sure. Bo
