The last weekend in October Mesa Community College will be hosting an all-education herp event, sponsored by the school's Environmental Action Club.

Some details are online at www.bedlamm.net.

The basic concept is to have a big room of displays/discussion, a small room with more formal presentations, and another with animal handling/herp introductions, so that three levels of education are available. Those displaying in the main room will be the same people giving presentations (~half-hour, give or take).

Our hope is to combine good spiels with interesting animals in each participant.

Confirmed participants include native hot snake and native chelonian branches of AZ Game & Fish, Ari Flagel of the Center for Reptile and Amphibian Research, and the Mesa Southwest Museum.
