With all of the misunderstanding still going on about the "new" Kisatchie cornsnake (Elaphe guttata slowenskii), I figured it couldn't hurt to post some more images of them.
All of my images are of all WC, CH, AB, or F1's.

Thank you, but I'll pass the credit on to the snake. She deserves it more than I do...lol. My favorite photo is the one with the flower coming out of the coil (#4), but my favorite Kisatchie isn't even posted yet....lol. That dark female I posted images of is my second favorite.
Looks like yours there. More brown on my males, but I don't have as many as you've had and seen.

For those that didn't see the earlier thread on these guys, here are some more photos: http://forums.kingsnake.com/view.php?id=94865,96574 (link below)
This one is a Grimes County Kisatchie. Sorry for the poor picture quality. It is the best one I've had time to take so far.

More Kisatchie photos
It's great to see someone post some pic's of Kisatchie corns. There doesn't seem to be a lot of interest in these guy in this forum. I personally think they are butiful snakes. I had a trip planned to the forest in deep east Texas this summer and was going to go over to LA to try to scare one up. But as usual things blew up at work and did'nt get to go. Any tips on where to herp in that area when I do make it down? What do you plan for these snakes? What are you breeding? keep posting those great pics.

There seems to be a good bit of interest in these guys based on emails and phone calls I get pretty often, but nobody has them (yet). I don't think their were ANY images of these guys on the 'net until Don and myself started breeding them a couple of years ago. (Correct me if I am wrong, Don.) Our stock was unrelated and we kinda got into them individually by different methods. Smartest thing Don has ever done...other than meet me, of course....lol!

What part of east Texas are you going to be in? Send me an email if you want to talk.

I don't have much for the Kisatchies planned. I'm a little on the anti-hybrid side, so I have no plans to cross them into cornsnakes or anything. I personally breed for locality (of which I've got just over a dozen) and typical coloration. I've got one WC with a few connected blotches almost forming a zig-zag. I may see if I can bring that out further.
Don Soderberg has also stated that he plans to work with this species (or subspecies depending on what you want to call it) in a little more depth. He also plans to keep them pure "slowenskii." Reading that was one of my happiest moments ever concerning working with this species.

I agree with you and Don. Keep em pure. They are at the top of my short list of snakes I want to add to my collection. I try to make it down to the Sabine National Forest every year, by Toledo Bend. Ever see any in that area? Keep up the good work.

Good habitat and some have been collected in that area, but it is illegal to colllect over most, if not all, of that area. I hunted one area with the camera only a time or two this year, but no luck (yet). Sorry.
