Hi, my young boa does not use its hide. I have tried a rock cave, tupperware with a hole cut in it, and finally a cardboard box w/ a hole cut into it as well. Is this normal or should i be slightly worried?

does what it wants to and feels comfortable with. To be honest, most people don't use hides with their boas. As long as they are in a cage where they feel secure, and are able to get under the substrate they do fine.
I don't use any hides, and keep my boas on paper towels, a few will occassionally crawl underneath them. I guess you should also consider the type of cage. Mine are all in black Boaphile racks or cages so they have a dark enclosure much like they were in a hide.
As Chris said, many boas will not use a hide at all. As long as everything else is going well with your boa (most importantly feedings), I wouldn't worry about it. All my babies use hides, but none of my adults do.
