Olfactory capabilities

What kind of information, on a biochemical level, can my snake detect about me? I'm looking for a technical answer here, I'm a grad student and I deal with a large amount of biochemistry even though that's not my field exactly. I'd like some suggestions for some papers I might be able to read on the subject also. Is there any research being done on this topic currently or has it already been beaten to death?

Try this as a start
I don;t think it's been beaten to death! It's a cool subject. Check under Google for vomeronasal or main olfactory system.
