In general, Dwarf Caimans are pretty much a "hands off" species. They are smaller, however, they are pretty nasty in disposition and they get stressed quite easily. However, they are good animals due to their smaller size and simply leave them alone and only handle when necessary. Hatchlings up until about a couple years old would be best left unhandled anyways because hatchlings are much easier stressed.

Hope this helps,
Chris

I see that you obviously have a vast knowledge of these wonderful animals. I personal have a juvenile that is about 15-16 inches in length that has only eatern 2 time for me since the 18 of AUgust(about a month now). 1st was a piece of uncooked shrimp about 3 weeks ago and the second a large earthworm earlier today. What can I do to get a better feeding response from him. I am worried about the little guy and would hate to lose him over something I may or may not be doing wrong
