Frog Injuries Healing Quick?

colorfulcritters Sep 09, 2006 10:45 PM

I've a bullfrog either bitten by a turtle or somehow bruised on its chest, a wound the size of a nickle red and blue with a tear. Presumably it's still surviving, however, but lingers around the water and barely on land. It's in an outside pond and seeing it's survived since the attack or accident, I'm wondering if I should just let it heal naturally.

Do frogs heal quite well naturally, meaning, isn't their healing process rather quick? This guy doesn't seem to be getting worse.

i'de let it heal by it self, stuff like that happens a lot. but i also didn't see it, if you think it looks bad enough that the frog might die soon then do something. taking it out of it's natural habitat if it doesn't need you help could do more harm than good.
