Cali king not growing or shedding

javakitty Sep 10, 2006 06:56 PM

So I've had this new Cali king hatchling for about 7 months and it doesn't seem to be growing much and he's shed only once. I am feeding him a pinkie every few days which he eats enthusastically and he has a heating pad at one end of the cage. I am using aspen shavings as substrate. He is about 16" long. What am I doing wrong?

nothing. You can feed him 2 pinkies every 3 or 4 days and it might increase the growth. Cal kings dont shed as much as other kings. That is from my experience.
