Need expert opinion

Linda G Sep 11, 2006 08:25 AM

Hi all, it's that time of year and I had to move my turtles
in. I decided to purchase a 120 gallon aquarium instead of
indoor ponds this year.

I have not purchased a filter and need to do so right away.
Which filter do you guys use for the large tanks? I looked
at a Fluval 404 which is good for just over 300 gallons. What
are your thoughts on this and can it be used when the tank
is not completely full?

Please give all suggestions. I need to pick one up this
week.

Thanks
Linda G

The 404 would work out great for you. The good thing (or atleast one of the good things) about canister filters is they will work as long as the intake hose is in water. So yes, it will work with a turtle set up. The 404 is also easy to setup and maintain, as long as you understand the basic idea of it. Have a read through the manual ands you'll be fine. Good luck with the setup.
