What does a phantom ball look like?

anson Sep 11, 2006 10:15 AM

I have heard of a phantom ball but have never seen pics of one?
I read about them on the Ralph Davis site in the morphs section but am not sure I understand exactly what a phantom ball looks like? Does anyone own one or have any pics of a Phsantom ball that they can post? Thanks in advance.

Very funny! No, come on give me a break.LOL I saw one on his site but it looked pretty normal looking other than being a bit lighter in color.
Are you implying there is no such thing as a phantom ball?

Go to ralphdavisreptiles.com Look around under ball morphs. He's got a whole page about them and a bunch of pictures.

On the birthing records page I found a picture of a female phantom ball. Does anyone else besides Ralph Davis own one?
I am interested in seeing pics from other owners of Phantom Balls. Usually people are proud to post their pics of their morphs.Just wanting to see pics from other owners or are they so new there are not many out there. If he found some from Africa I am sure someone else might have imported one. Since they are subtle it may have gone unnoticed. Does anyone have one that is still unproven but may be a phantom. Would they consider posting it here?

Here is a Mystic AKA Phantom from my line.. They are ALOT darker than Mojaves , the blushing on the sides only goes up about 2/3 up the sides unlike Mojaves which generally goes over the back.. The back of a Phantom is also very dark , jet black like with little or no washed out areas again unlike the Mojaves which often times have alot of washed out areas on the back.. The best part of the Phantoms is the fact the the Super isn't another type of white snake.. The Super Phantom Yellow Belly is insane to say the least.. Ralph hit a jackpot with this gene.. Anthony McCain-McCain's Reptiles..

for posting a picture of your phantom. Very nice snake and the picture is not as vague as others I have seen. I finally understand what a phantom ball is! Thanks

I did like the golf ball picture thing too!
