What would be the best idea?

zeroto4legs Sep 11, 2006 05:51 PM

im looking to get a pair of boas to breed which would be better to get
a male albino and a 100% het albino female or
female albino and a 100 5 het albino male.

is the a big price difference in the 2 choice.

how old should both boas be to breed?

thanks

IMO, male albino/het albino female if you have a choice

I've heard stories where albino females need a little bit more accurate conditions while gravid. They do not thermoregulate as well. That said, many are sucessfully breeding female albinos, just need a couple more degrees of heat.

Another reason why you would be better off IMO getting a male albino, is that if you're lucky the male might be able to service two females in a season, and you can do more with a male albino than a het in terms of another female.
