cremic heat emitters

peach749 Sep 11, 2006 07:14 PM

I was wondering what temp ranges these guys putt off. I will be mounting it to the top of a dog house. I have a huge doghouse under my carport. it has a flat roof and last yeah I cut a hole in it and mount a cage over the hole and mounted a light to that. the thing was I never got to use it. well now its almost winter again and I wont to use one of those heat emitters instead of a light. I was wondering how much those guys put off. so if you could tell me the temps there putting off for you and what's size inclosure you keep it in. I'm not trying to have it toasty warm but just something to take the chill off for the dog.
thanks Casper

you probably wont get the right type of heat your looking for. They have heat pads wich can be used for dogs I think, maybe check in a dog forum they can tell you better.

if you use a ceramic heater, i would set up a thermostat for it. Some days the temperature is colder than others and of course, it's colder at night, so you temperatures would be all over the place without one.
