what type of blub

peach749 Sep 11, 2006 07:16 PM

hello I was wondering what wattage bulbs does the people out here use to heat there roach colony's. I already know they have to be the red type or do they? I will be hanging them above the rim of the Rubbermaid container. I use the large ones I think 30 gallon. I will be having the top on them and there is a screen part that I glued in. so what wattage is everyone using, is everyone using the red type, and where did they get them from?
thanks

I think roach colonies will benefit more from a under tank heater than a light bulb. Light bulbs, if too hot probably cook the colony. THe feeder forum may have more tips on this than I do.
