Few pics I snapped tonight

Aspidelapsfan Sep 11, 2006 07:44 PM

Had a some free time, so I took a few quick pics of a few animals. Gravid (crossing my fingers) Atheris squamigera, female Bitis rhinoceros, and female Crotalus mitchelli stephensi. I've become huge fans of the Bitis genus. They have such a funny personality. Can't wait to get a few more species.

Don't you mean Bitis gabonica rhinceros?

I'm pretty sure that West African Gaboons have been classified as a full species, rather than a subspecies. Most people I've talked to don't use gabonica anymore. Gregg Madden's article in Oct. Reptiles also used Bitis rhinoceros, rather than gabonica rhinoceros.
