SUNDAY MIRROR (London, UK) 10 September 06 Shopper Finds Frog In Sarnie
A hungry shopper bit into a sandwich and found it contained a live three-legged frog.
The supermarket has issued an apology to the customer after she discovered the frog in the watercress filling.
The extra ingredient was revealed by consumer watchdog Which?. They said: "Eating frogs' legs is a delicacy for some but not when the frog is alive and staring back at you.
"It was only after she took the first bite that she saw, to her horror, a live frog - minus a foreleg."
The woman said: "It was distressing. I didn't know whether the frog was native to this country or potentially poisonous."
Morrisons in Totnes, Devon, apologised and said: "We follow a strict quality control procedure."
