First corn snake

Hey guys, been reading the forum for quite a while now. Amazed at some of your corns!! Some real beauties!

My son is nearly 9 and decided he is ready for his own snake. We have many others, as well as geckos and an iguana. Many are 'his'.. but I do all the care. So we picked out corns for him to start with. He got his female today, and he will be getting a male next year from a friend - hopefully a ghost. We picked her out today at Amazon Reptile Center in southern California. We got to watch her eat a pink mouse before buying her, hence the lump in her belly! Was tempted to get a motley snow they had, Liam liked the anery better and it is His snake.. so he wins :P

Well here is his little 2006 girl.

Nice looking snake. Looks like you have some nice set ups in the back, as well.
One little tip, it is generally best to not handle right after feeding. Some do, and some don't. I think it just helps discourage regurg.
Best of luck to you, your son, and that nice looking corn!

yeah those are my boaphiles. I love them!!

I know about the regurg issues, Thanks though! He was only moving her from deli cup to her new cage, figured I would get some shots of her before setting her aside to digest!
