Delta is usually a good way to ship a 30-pound tortoise. You will also need to have an accredited veterinarian inspect the tortoise for ticks and issue a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection for the tortoise. The inspection is a federal law put in place by the USDA. You may need to find someone who is a “Know Shipper” to ship with Delta. Be sure and construct a sturdy shipping crate. Good luck!
