where can i find egg crate for making a 3-d backround? and what kind of foam should i use. Brand/ type of foam and where i can find it would be very helpfull.

eggcrate is used with florescent lighting fixtures so you should be able to find it at any home improvement center like hime depot, loews... the eggcrate is used to make the false bottom though, not the background. for a foam background i use "great stuff" it comes in a red bottle and one can does about 10 gallons. it works expremely well and is watertight once sealed. it takes about 36 hours to seal though. contact me if you have any questions about making it, because i've done a bunch of them? also, what are you making it for?
